'Thou Shalt Not Kill Except', 'Running Time', And Some Of Bruce's Super 8 Films To Get (Re)Released On DVD
Much thanks and appreciation to James Flower for the next story. Josh Becker has confirmed on his official site that Thou Shalt Not Kill Except... and Running Time have been bought by Synapse Entertainment and will be released on DVD shortly. Running Time has been previously released on DVD but the new packaging will come with more bonus features, including some Super 8 films. Running Time is a great flick that was filmed with only one shot. Thou Shalt Not Kill Except was a classic Bruce movie from the 80's that also had Sam Raimi in the gang. Here is an excerpt from Josh Becker about being asked about Thou Shalt Not Kill Except... and Running Time:"I got the rights for the films back from Anchor Bay, who have now become Starz Entertainment, and they suggested that I speak with the fellow that used to run the company, but now works for Rykodisk. I spoke with him, and he kindly sent me to the folks at Synapse. Since the biggest title they've ever had was "Maniac Cop," with good old Bruce Campbell, they were very pleased to get another BC title. That's the story."

I REALLY want to see Running Time. I'm not sure about the Thou Shalt Not Kill Except... one though.
I wonder what super 8 films will be on the extra features.
I obtained a copy of Running Time recently, and while it's not the greatest movie ever, it's worth a viewing. The running take style of the movie is really crazy, and you can tell there is alot improvised. But a great add to the Bruce Campbell collection.
I haven't seen Thou Shalt Not Kill Except.. since I was a kid. Heck, I had no clue who Bruce Campbell was then. If I remember, it's really cheesy but fun. And I'm sure the Super 8 extras will make it a must buy.
"Thou Shalt Not" is worth watching just to see Sam kick Ted in the face. Hilarious. And skinny little Ted Raimi with chains draped over him. And Sam looking like a back-water Captain Jack Sparrow. Weird.
TSNKE doesn't have Bruce acting in it (though his feet appear in it, he was a producer on it. Sam and Ted Raimi are in it though. Sam got the award for worst performance by a director for this.
The commentary by Bruce and Josh Becker on this is amazing tho, well worth buying the dvd for.
